Mandolin Being Restrung, My First Theory Article
So my Mandolin is being restrung and cleaned.
I got a digital tuner.
One E string, the finest, broke.
It went pwong!
Hopefully it's actually possible. It might be.
If it costs too much it would be better to get a new one.
But for now it's ok, not a lot for restringing and cleaning.
It turns out it's not so common anymore my mandolin.
If I get a new one I will get a Portuguese Mandolin again. It has a circular sounding hole. I don't like the ones with Fs on. It doesn't have to be the Ozark one I have though.
They can't restring my Russian Cimbala. :'(
They don't do early instruments. It will have to go to another kind of shop.

I got to 4 strings on the mandolin now.
And chords, blah!
I hate chords.
I have to work on strengthening the little fingers. Play a exercise a lot.
And it came up again.
Why don't you play all the strings. Chords.
Every bloody time. You have a stringed instrument, someone says , why don't you play chords.
I'm not fucking playing chords! That's not the entire thing stringed instruments can do!
Chords are horrible and hard! And they're just for accompaniment.
I play for me, not to accompany others.
The same thing happened with flute.
Why don't you do that fluttery thing with notes. Isn't that what flutes are for

Im back. Mandolin Music,and other recent stuff.
So I went AWOL for a bit.
AWOL a few places.
I had reasons. And sometimes I leave places for a bit.
Anyway. I'm back!
I moved house.
I moved from a ground floor flat like a bungalow to a house in a block of houses.
Its literally a house in a block of houses, built into a mountainside.
I had to get used to stairs. So many stairs.
The small town village is VERY steep. Everything's on a incline.
Stairs and paths up everywhere. And it has worse weather than some places.
But it's a nice place I like it. New start, no history.
The incline means that people wear trainers and shoes way more in summer.
And I think there's a few tribal remn
